DOMINION MANPOWER

PROPER UTILISATION TO BE RECONSIDERED BY GOVERNMENT. MEN IN 41-45 AGE GROUP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. “While men of the 41-45 age group are now being called up for military service, nevertheless the whole question of the proper utilisation of manpower in New Zealand is to be reconsidered by the War Cabinet early in the new year, and, therefore, no man called up today should take any action or leave his present employment till further notice,” said the Minister of National Service, .Mr McLagan, last evening. “It has been decided that the medical examination of this group will not commence till February 1, and by that time the question of the posting of the men concerned to the armed forces will be considered in light of a survey of the general manpower requirements of the Dominion.”
