EXCEPT IN MAIN PORT AREAS , RESTRICTIONS ON LIGHTING. PROVISION FOR BLACKOUT TO BE MAINTAINED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. “Other than in parts of Auckland and Wellington, and except for necessary measures as to provision for a total blackout during any trial or actual emergency, the continuing restrictions which have been placed upon lighting are now all suspended,” the Minister of Civil Defence (Mr Wilson) stated today. , , . . The Minister said all lights visible to the harbour areas at' Auckland and Wellington must remain shielded and regulations for vehicle lighting on waterfront roads would continue. Apart from specified areas in _ Wellington and Auckland, no restrictions were now placed on the type or intensity of light which could be used, but no adjustments were to be made to vehicle, headlights or to switch control. , _____
