■ GREYHOUND RACING MEETING AT MASTERTON. THE SUCCESSFUL COMPETITORS. There was a large attendance at Rugby Park, Masterton, yesterday afternoon when the Wairarapa Coursing Club held a most successful greyhound racing meeting. The races were keenly contested and there were many close finishes. The owners of the winning dogs each received a ham. Mi' S. Gerrand’s (Masterton) Royal Routine put up a consistent performance to win outright the Carl Larsen Challenge Cup. The C. E. Grey Rose bowl (which also has to be won three times before becoming the property of an owner) was won by Miss P. Hanley’s (Masterton) Spitfire Joe. The following are the results of the finals: — Maid’en: Miss J. Hanley’s (Masterton) Lucky Cinders I; Mrs L. J. Gray’s (Masterton) Sea Queen 2; Mrs W. Williams’ (Masterton) Lady Micawber 3. Novice: Mrs Williams’ Lord Wilga I; Miss J. Hanley’s Lady Robin 2; Mr S. Davis’, (Masterton) Tamatete 3. Limit: Mr Davis’ Gay Crest I; Mrs Williams’ Micawber’s Worry 2; Mrs L. H. Jones’ (Masterton) Royal Silver 3. Carl Larsen Challenge Cup: Mr S. Gerrand’s Royal Routine I; Mrs L. Gray’s Desert Gold 2; Miss P. Hanley’s Spitfire Joe 3.
