“FOOTSTEPS IN THE DARK.” The final screening will take place tonight of “Footsteps in the Dark,” one of the most exciting mystery comedies ever to come to the screen. “THE WOLF MAN.” A new and savage horror creation, half-man and half-beast, is introduced in “The Wolf Man,” Universal’s drama, which will be shown tomorrow night at the Regent Theatre. For the first time, a spectacular horror film has been devised with a werewolf, mythical menace of the Welsh countryside, as the killer. Lon Chaney plays the title role, and‘the- cast includes Claude Rains, Warren William, Ralph Bellamy, Patrie Knowles, Bela Lugosi, Maria Ouspenskaya and’ Evelyn Ankers. George Waggner was associate producer-direc-tor. The associate feature is “Hands Across the Rockies,” starring Bill Elliott as “Wild Bill” Hickok, and bringing to the screen another of this finelyetched portraits of America’s pioneer fighting men.
