Wallace secured the hidden number prize. Playing for the Gold Bars, G. Brunton and C. Larsen defeated the holders. F. Dennes and R. Thompson. In the Campbell Cup games,. R. Thompson, H. W. Feast and N. McLeod have 2 lives. In the “one lifer” section, Harrington beat Connolly; Coleman beat Brunton; Peterson beat Brice; Dennes beat Carter. Personal Items. Mr G. Leighs, of Wellington, and Gunner N. Hilton, of Napier, were the guests of Mr and Mrs T. A. Smallwood, Kuratawhiti Street, over the weekend. ' Greytown soldiers who are on Christmas leave include R. Allen, A. Carter, N. Harris, L. Phelps and C. Goodall. TOWN HALL “SO ENDS OUR NIGHT.” Based on the famous. Collier’s Magazine serial, “Flotsam," by Erich Maria Remarque, “So Ends Our Night,” the David L. Loew-Albert Lewin production co-stars Fredric March, Margaret Sullavan and Frances Dee, and will be shown at the Cosy Theatre tomorrow night. “So Ends Our Night” was directed by John Cromwell, and its large supporting cast features Glenn Ford, Anna Sten, Erich von Stroheim, Roman Bohnen, Leonid Kinskey and Lionel Royce. The Papawai Tribal Committee elsewhere extends thanks to their pakeha friends for generous donations to the Maori Battalion Comforts Fund.
