HOMING PIGEONS
MASTERTON CLUB. • t FINAL RACE OF OLD BIRD SEASON
The Masterton Homing Pigeon Club held its final race for the old bird season from Opua (North Auckland), an airline distance of 410 miles. The weather for flying was not the best, it being overcast and showery with a strong north-westerly wind. The following were the results:—J. Mayes’s White Rajah (112(3yds per min), 1; lan Mayes’s Electro (1120yds per min) 2; W. Miller’s Dawn Patrol (1080.9yds per min), 3; N. Gardner’s Red Arrow (1080.49yds per min), 4; W. Steer’s Red Rufus (1078yds per min), 5; L. Wickens's Ariel Lass (1075yds per min), 6.
