PERSONAL
The death occurred at Pahialua on Saturday of Mr J. Y. Crawford, at the age of 71 years. The death is reported in a Press Association telegram from Christchurch of Mr Duncan Oliver Rutherford, runholder and breeder of thoroughbred horses.
The following Masterton candidates have passed their accountancy examinations in the sections mentioned:—R. F. Ball, W. K. Dick, book-keeping and accounts III.; C. M. Harkness, auditing; K. J. Reid, book-keeping and accounts IL. mercantile, law stage IL; N. Stewart, book-keeping and accounts 1., company law.
