CHRISTMAS TRADE GOOD BUSINESS REPORTED. (“Times-Age" Special.) . Shopkeepers in Greytown report that Christmas buying has already commenced and that good business is being done. Despite the many restrictions and scarcity of many lines, the majority of shoppers appear well satisfied with the selection of goods offered. Personal Items. Mrs A. Stuart has returned home from a holiday visit to Wellington. Mrs J. Brunton, who has been visiting Palmerston North, has returned home. TOWN HALL “LIFE BEGINS FOR ANDY HARDY." Tonight’s programme will be headed by the outstanding Hardy picture, “Life Begins for Andy Hardy," with Mickey -Rooney. Lewis Stone and Judy Garland in the chief roles. |
