LOST IN LATEST ATTACK QN INDUSTRIAL AREAS IN GERMANY. CHRISTMAS SHOPPERS BOMBED IN BRITAIN. ' LONDON, December 18. Industrial targets in northwest. Germany were attacked by the R.A.F. last night. Low clouds made it difficult to see the results. Eighteen bombers failed io get back. German aircraft were over Britain today. In one south coast town bombs were dropped on several stores in which people were doing their Christmas shopping. Women and children were buried in the wreckage. Fighters destroyed one enemy bomber and one R.A.F. plane is missing.
