ADMIRATION OF ALL
EARNED BY NEW ZEALAND AIRMEN MESSAGE FROM MR ATTLEE. MAGNITUDE OF DOMINION’S CONTRIBUTION (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) has received the foowing cablegram from the Secretary for the Dominions (Mr Attlee): “On the third anniversary of the birth' of the vast air crew training scheme in which New Zealand has so enthusiastically participated, I send you my congratulations We are deepy conscious of the magnitude of your contribution in the air to the common cause. You have been confronted during the past year by a serious menace to your own country, which imposed a heavy strain on your not unlimited resources. In spite of this, New Zealand spared no pains to continue her splendid contribution, which was planned in the early days of the war, to the Empire war effort as a whole. The young airmen of your Dominion, who have been magnificently trained, have travelled far and wide to give battle to the common enemy. They are setting an outstanding example of skill, courage and devotion, which has earned the admiration of us all.”
