PRODUCTION IN UNITED STATES EXPANDED ENORMOUSLY. BUT NOT YET MEETING REQUIREMENTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.25 p.m.) WASHINGTON, December 15. The War Production Board announced that although machine-tool production is now fifteen times greater than in 1939, the demand is so great that over a billion dollars’ worth of orders are at present unfilled. At the present rate of production it will take nine months to fill them, without allowing for new orders.
