CLEARING SALE AT HOMEBUSH.

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having held a very successful clearing sale at Homebush yesterday on account of Mr J. H. S. Cole. The herd which was in full milk and mostly due to calve in the spring, met with spirited competition from buyers representing the Hutt, Eketahuna, Lower Valley and locally. The satisfactory average of £9 5s was obtained. The implements which were mostly in good order- sold under exceptionally keen competition, and made values very close to the new prices in lots of cases. The following will give an indication of values received:—Live stock: Cows due May and June, £lO, £l2, £l3 to £l5; cows due August. £B, £9 to £lO 10s; cows just calved, £8 to £10; three-quarter cows, £4 10s to £7 10s; heifers in milky £6 10s, £8 10s to £9 ■ 4-year Jersey bull, £7 ss. Light porkers,’ £2 Is to £2 Gs. Aged draught mare. £l9. Plant and implements: Two-stand Climax milking plant, £32; 25 gallon water heater, £8: 50 gallon A.L. separator, £l2 10s- Fordson tractor. £45; d.f. plough. £9: hay mower, £3l; stackers. £3O; hay rake £l5 10s: spring cart, £9 15s; trolley, £(> 5s- roller. £* ss; sawbench. £6; harrows. £7 ss; scarifier, £6 15s; manure distributor, £18; blacksmith's drill, £8 10s. All sundries made good values.
