UNITED STATES FIGURES. BIG INCREASE EXPECTED NEXT YEAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, December 10. The first year of the war cost the United States over 40,000 million dollars, exceeding the entire cost of participation in the World War. Moreover, budget officials expect the cost to leap to 78.000 million in 1943.
