CALVES AND LAMBS CHILDREN’S COMPETITIONS. (“Times-Age” Special.) In connection with the Featherston School Boys and Girls’ Agricultural Club calf and lamb competitions, Mr R. P. Hardie judged the calves and Mr W. Fellingham the lambs. The results were: . Lambs (long wool), Nelson Benton 1, Leslie Wallace 2. Short wool, Hanorah Cole 1, Colleen Kelly 2, Pat Kelly 3, George and Leslie Wallace h.c. Calves: Jersey class (15 entries), Warren Jansen 1, Ellen Warren 2, Keith Scott 3. Ayrshire class, Gilbert Cole 1, Melva Henderson 2, Clyde Spackman 3. Other breeds, Mervyn Houghton 1, Elva Merwood 2. Care and handling, Gilbert Cole 1, Warren Jansen 2, Melva Henderson 3.
