Mrs T. Jordan, The Terrace, Lansdowne, is visiting Auckland. Mrs H. P. Harrison, Essex Street, Masterton, has been on a visit to Wanganui. Mr and Mrs L. O. Sayer, Masonic Street, Masterton, announce the engagement of their daughter Anne to George eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs G. Everitt, Wellington. The engagement is announced of Gwendolyn Lois, elder daughter of Mr and Mrs G. G. Jackson, Masterton, and Private Stanley James Victor Lane, N.Z.E.F., elder son of Mr and Mrs G. F. Lane, Suva. The death occurred recently of Mr Walter John Andrews, aged 79, a Wellington engineer, and formerly a partner in the firm of Andrews and Manthel, of which he was managing .director. He was at one time a member of the Wellington Garrison Band, under the late Captain Herd. He was a member of Pacific Lodge of the Freemasons.
