NAMING OF AIRFIELD ON GUADALCANAL. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 9.45 a.m. ) NEW YORK, November 29. Navy Department officials declare that the “official” Henderson Airfield is on Midway Island and not on Guadalcanal. They explain that the marines who captured Guadalcanal j were fresh from the Midway battle and nr'obably started calling the air base Henderson Field. It is never referred to as such in official comniuni- ■ ques and no name has yet been given to the Guadalcanal airfield.
