STRUCK BY AMERICAN BOMBERS 10,000 TON SHIP SUNK LARGE FIRES STARTED IN DOCK AREA. TWENTY ENEMY PLANES . DESTROYED. LONDON. November 29. In China, American bombers have attacked heavily the Japan-ese-occupied port of Canton. The attack was made in strong force. Twenty Japanese planes were destroyed. A 10,000 ton ship was sunk and another vessel was damaged. A number of barges were also damaged and large fires were started in the dock area and along the wharves. A nearby airfield was also bombed. The fire put ud by the ground defences was heavy, but all the American planes returned safely to their base.
