According to German admissions, an American correspondent wrote recently, there are now more foreigners working in Germany than there are Germans. Although neither Hungarians nor Rumanians have gone in such large numbers as other nationalities, each has contributed a substantial quota. The Germans of late have continued to assemble large numbers of foreign workers in zones frequented by the Royal Air Force, which may be nice for the German workers but does not improve relations with the foreign countries concerned. There are well over 250,000 foreign workers in the Ruhr and another 100,000 in the Cologne region.
