The fortnightly flag 500 party held by the local sub-centre of the Red Cross Society in the Anglican Hall on Saturday evening was a decided suecess. Mr L. C. Christie conducted the games. Hornblow (s), Eketahuna, beat L. Truscott, W. Fraser, F. Cosford and J. Swane (s), Pahiatua, 26/19. match for the Gosling Stars resulted in J. Bowyer, W. Manser, RFarrow and A. Fredericksen (s), Eketahuna, ’ defeating L. Russell, Burlace, Charles and Anslow (s), Woodville, 24/17.
