The annual report of the Mahunga Golf Club states inter alia:—As indicated in last year’ report the financial position has required the most careful watching but your committee is pleased to report that the year ended has been quite a satisfactory one. During the summer a willing band of workers carried out many jobs on and around the links and conditions for play throughout a difficult season reflect the good work that was done. Like all clubs, membership has been greatly reduced on account of the war but an increased: number of lady players has helped to' maintain our membership. The following nominations have been received for the general committee, and as seven members only are required no election will be necessary:—J. Morris, S. Jenkins, I. I. McGregor. F. Traynor, A. H. Ward, C. Sutherland, G. B. Young and Miss L. V. Wyber. No inter-club matches were played during the season. Each club member overseas has again been supplied with a gift parcel from the club. Members also provided a gif Sunday tea at the Y.M.C.A. to men of the armed forces. Thanks are extended for services rendered to the club by members and others. The report is signed by I. I. McGregor (captain) and J. G. McFarlane (secretary).
