CROQUET MATCH HOLDERS OF BUTTONS BEATEN. (“Times- Age” Special.) In a match for the Buttons, the holders, Mrs Watson and Miss Nix (Haunui) were defeated by Mrs oaunders and Mrs O’Neale (Featherston), 26/21. To Collect Books and Magazines. The Girl Guides and Boy Scouts are once again to the fore in doing good deeds. On Saturday they will collect books and magazines for the armed forces. Books over 10 years old are useless. League of Mothers. Mrs Arch. Clak presided over a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the League of Mothers yesterday. COSY THEATRE “CASH AND CARRY.” The programme tonight at the Cosy Theatre will be headed by one of the noted Maisie series of comedies, “Cash and Carry,” in which Ann Sothern, George Murphy and Robert Stirling are seen at their best. Another excellent picture, “Cadets on Parade,” will also be shown.
