ADMISSIONS TO AMERICAN ARMY. REVIEW OF CRIMINAL RECORDS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.0 a.m.) WASHINGTON, November 19. Concurrently with the registration of eighteen-year-olds, local draft boards have been ordered to reclassify men previously deferred because of criminal records. The Associated Press of America says that in future deferments will be denied unless the registrants are completely disqualified morally. The new Army standards authorise the induction of men with criminal records, including treason, murder, kidnapping and other heinous crimes, if their conduct has been proper for at least six months after release from prison.
