ACTION IN ARGENTINA

AGAINST AXIS AGENTS.

FIRST MEASURES OF KIND

(British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.0 a.m.) RUGBY, November 19.

The Argentine Minister of the Interior, Senor Cilcaciati, has instructed the government of the fourteen Argentine provinces to take strict measures to prevent Axis activities possibly detrimental to the individual or collective security of the American republics. The "New York Times” Buenos Aires correspondent says this is the first time Argentina has adopted a measure of this nature against the Axis. It is believed to be the first tangible result of the American memorandum to Argentina outlining the activities of Axis agents.
