CROQUET MATCH WIN FOR LOCAL CLUB. (“Times-Age” Special.) At Lansdowne yesterday the Mauriceville Club defeated the Lansdowne Club by 26-14, for the Intermediate Buttons. The match was a most enjoyable one, and the visitors appreciated very much the hospitality of the Lansdowne Icidios The” teams were:—Mauriceville: Mesdames J. E. McKeown and J. L. McArley. Lansdowne: Mesdames Morris and Dagg. Personal. Under the auspices of the Mauriceville Women’s Institute, an enjoyable social gathering was held recently at the residence of Mrs Claude Spackman, for the purpose of bidding farewell to Mrs Chas. Clarke, who is leaving the district to reside in Palmerston North. Miss R. Mortensen, in making Mrs Clarke a presentation,, wished Mrs Clarke and daughter, Alison, the best of luck in the future.
