WEST SCHOOL
HOME ASSOCIATION MEETING HELD LAST NIGHT. ARRANGEMENTS FOR GATHERING NEXT MONTH. There was a good attendance at a meeting of the Masterton West Home and School Association held last night in the Masterton West School, and considerable enthusiasm was evinced in connection with the “gala day it was proposed to hold at the school on D I C t e was r reported that the arrangements were well in hand for the gathering and that considerable support .was forthcoming, indications, ppiming in the direction of the effort oeing the most successful yet made by the association in its policy to assist the school Individual members and supporters of the school were wholeheartedly giving their assistance in connection with, the gala day, and everything possible was being clone lo ensure that an enjoyable time was spent by children and adults alike at the school on Saturday. Decembei a. Mr F. Jesten occupied the chair at the meeting last night, and among others present was Mr J. Farrell, headmaster of the school, who has displayed considerable enthusiasm in connection with the gathering at the school. _ , A number of matters were finalised, and it was announced that a supportei of the school had donated a lamb. It was decided that the gatheiing should be open to all schools On the suggestion of Mr Farrell the baths will be available for use during the afternoon. , ,u It was announced that tickets wo aid shortly be distributed, the charge for admission being adults 6d, children 3d. The parents are to be circularised in connection with a bring-and-buy stall it was proposed to hold in connection with the gathering. It was resolved that the next meeting of the committee be held on December 1. , , . A vote of thanks to the chairman concluded a very enthusiastic meeting.
