IN MENACED LENINGRAD. SOME STRENUOUS COURSES. Contests between civilian . military trainees are now in progress m Leningrad’s largest stadium, the War News” reported recently. There are special contests for infantrymen, mortal-men, tank-destroyers, snipers and machinegUShrceS‘the outbreak of war a third contingent of men has been called up for civilian military training. Leningrad has provided the front with thousands of physically hardened fighters. Many have already distinguished themselves in defending the city.. . Well-equipped military training centres function uninterruptedly in all the districts of Leningrad and at the factories A special school has been opened to train commanders and instructors for civilian military training detachments. At this school all tjie students have had actual war experience.
