WAR ON U-BOATS

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL RAID ON ST. NAZAIRE MADE BY AMERICAN BOMBERS. WITH ESCORT OF BRITISH FIGHTERS. LONDON, November 17. The war against the Üboats was carried on in another powerful raid by Allied planes on St Nazaire. American Flying Fortresses and Liberator bombers made the attack and they were escorted by Ii.A.F. fighters. These shot down six. enemy fighters which attempted to intercept the bombers and all the Allied planes returned safely. Allied planes also made extensive attacks yesterday over enemy-occupied territory.
