The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's meeting ended yesterday in fine weather and the track was in good order. The totalisator handled £95,847. compared with £85.659 for the third, day last year, which was Metropolitan Show Day. The time of Gold Bar. winner of the New Zealand Pacing Spring Championship. 2.35. was a world race record for one mile and a quarter, the previous best being 2.36 2-5 by Harold Logan and Roi I'Or.
