OBITUARY
MR P. A. BELLISS. The death took place in Masterton yesterday of Mr Percival Alexander Beiliss, a well known and highly respected resident of Castlepoint, at the age of 69 years. The late Mr Beiliss, who was born at Tinui, was harbour master at Castlepoint for many years. He was a keen racing enthusiast and was an official of the Castlepoint Racing Club. Mr Beiliss, who was single, is survived by a sister, Miss F. Beiliss, Pownall Street, Masterton, and a brother, Mr H. C. Beiliss, Tinui. The funeral will take place tomorrow. leaving the residence, Castlepoint, at 11 o’clock. MR ROBERT ANDREASSEN. Mr Robert Andreassen, of Castlepoint, who died in Masterton on Saturday, was born in Trondheim, Norway, 56 years ago. Mr Andreassen led an adventurous life as a fisherman and had travelled extensively . Ho came to New Zealand 30 years ago and was engaged in fishing at the Chatham Islands. He was a naturalised British subject and fished for a number of years at Castlepoint where he had a laurfch, He was well known to Castlepoint residents and visitors and was very popular. He had no relatives in New Zealand. The funeral took place in Masterton this morning. The Ven. Archdeacon E J Rich conducted services at tne Chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service and at the graveside. The pall-bearers were Messrs J. E. Corbett (Wellington), Taha Pora, J. McCalmont. B. Savage, W. White, and E. A. Tozei (Masterton).
