S. MATTHEW’S SCHOOL

ANNUAL SPORTS MEETING EXCELLENT DISPLAY OF WORK. INTERESTING MANNEQUIN PARADE. At the annual sports and exhibition of work at St. Matthew's School there was a large attendance of parents and friends. The work shown included exhibits of art. basketry, modelling, rope sandals and needlework. A mannequin parade showing the work done in the dressmaking classes aroused considerable interest and admiration. The sports events were under the control of Miss Lloyd, assisted by members of the staff. Messrs Sydney Smith. C. J. Bennett. E. W. Payton and H. M. Boddington acted as judges. The senior championship was won by June Smith, and the junior championship by Jean Raleigh. The following were the results of the various events: — Senior championship. 100 yards: J. Smith 1, A.
