FLOOD DISASTER
IN SOUTHERN THAILAND HALF RICE CROP DESTROYED. JAPANESE CALCULATIONS UPSET. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) CHUNGKING, November 13. Floods last month, the severest for several decades, ravaged Southern Thailand, destroying half the rice crop and severely upsetting Japanese economic plans, says a United Press correspondent. The entire Menam Delta, around Bangkok, and points upwards of 200 miles from the capital were under water. Tens of thousands of people are homeless.
