LIBERTY LOAN
4 NEARING NINE MILLION MARK. OVER SIXTEEN THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day Subscriptions to the second Liberty Loan throughout New Zealand yesterday amounted to £766,140 by 2457 applicants, bringing the total to £8,779,005. Applications now total 16,732. OVER £99,000 SUBSCRIBED. YESTERDAY’S APPLICATIONS IN MASTERTON. In Masterton . yesterday, there were 24 applications in connection with the Liberty Loan Campaign, the amount subscribed being £3,260, including £1,500 from the Mauriceville Lime Company. . , , Jenkins Motor Services have subscribed £3OO, and Mr A. W. Sealey (Masterton) £5OO. So far there have been 247 applicants, with the total amqunt standing at £99,796.
