RANGITUMAU
WOMEN’S DIVISION WINNERS OF POINTS PRIZES. (“Times-Age” Special.) A good number of members attended the ordinary meeting of the Rangitumau branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union on Tuesday. Mrs James, who presided, reported that the eggs brought by members last month had been greatly appreciated by patients in the soldiers’ ward at the hospital. , ~ P ~ . A competition was held for Christmas novelties, a prize being donated by Mrs James. The novelties are being handed in for the Red Cross shop day which is to be held on Friday, November 27. Arrangements were made in connection with the tea which is to be provided for men of the armed forces at the Y.M.C.A. by members of the Rangitumau branch. The competitions resulted as follows: —Christmas novelty, Mrs Macdonald 1. Flowers, single bloom, Mrs Stuart 1, Mrs Duckett 2; three blooms, Mrs Wrigley 1, Mrs Macdonald 2. Points prizes for the past year were presented to Mrs Duckett (flower competitions) and Mrs Macdonald (general competitions). Afternoon tea was provided and served jjy the hostesses, Mesdames James and L. R. Wilton.
