STATE FUNERAL

LATE HON. H. T. ARMSTRONG. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. All sections of the community were represented in the large congregation at the Solemn Requiem Mass celebrated in the Church of St. Mary of the Angels, Wellington, yesterday morning for the late Minister of Public Works, Mi’ Armstrong. The State funeral procession through the city in the afternoon to a point in Waterloo Quay was on foot. The cortege was a long one, and the route of the procession was lined with people who bowed their heads in reverence as it passed. Mr Armstrong will be buried in Christchurch today.
