CLEARING SALE AT KAITUNA. LATE RATES WELL MAINTAINED. Messrs Dalgety and Co.. Ltd. (Inc. in England I report as follows :--We held yesterday a very successful clearing sale at Kaituna on account of the estate of the late H. 1. B. and Mr Len Yates. There was a large and representative attendance of buyers and competition for both stock and sundries was spirited throughout. Prices for slock were well up to, and in most cases above those, ruling at the local saleyards during the last week or so, m.a. ewes with b.f. lambs at foot making from IGs 8d to IGs 9d, all counted: store woolly ewes, 13s 8d to 14s 3d; small wether hoggets. £1 0s Gd; store wethers, 21s 9d. and 2-sheax- S.D. rams. 1% guineas. The cattle also made good values under competition .empty P.A. cows realising £G 10s. cull cows with calves at foot £0 15s. and empty 2-yr. Jersey heifers- £G 14s. The sundries were keenly sought after and madd good late clearing sale rates as fol-lows:—Two-stand “Little Wonder" Cooper’s shearing plant (without handpieces). £46; handpieces, £3 5s to £4 each; woolpress, £23; vice, £3; manure distributer (old), £2 14s; cultivator (old), £5 10s; crosscut saw, £1 4s; saddle and bridle, £2 7s Gd. A quantity of sundries and household effects brought good values.
