Except for Mr WaddelL Junr who was asleep in the back seat when the collision happened, the occupant’s luckily escaped with mmor injuries. Messrs Morris ana Waaaeii, Senr have broken ribs, and Mr New a black eye. After receiving medical attention at the scene of the accident they were able to go home. The’car was hit broadside on and completely wrecked. The rain was a special passenger train bound fo Wellington. It was delayed only a few minutes by the accident.
