DAMAGED VESSEL REACHES PORT
(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.15 p.m.) LONDON, October 20. A Stockholm message says a Russian submarine torpedoed the German ferryboat Deutschland, carrying 1,000 German soldiers returning from leave. Five were killed, 29 injured and an unknown number drowned. The ferry, which was travelling between Sassnitz and Trelleborg, was badly damaged. but managed to reach Tre'lleborg.
