Mrs Riddiford enrolled the following Brownies: Stephanie Daniel, Lorraine Reid, Margaret Daniel, Annette Evans, Mary Christie, Rae Farrow and Judith Ward.
In an address to , the parents and Guides, Mrs Riddiford gave an account of the word that Guides are doing. “They have sent clothes to Polish refugees,” she said, “food and clothes to bombed-out children in England; they have raised £3,600 for Trefoil Huts; they have collected many tons of cleaning rags for the Army and Air Force, and they have made camouflage nets.” The Brownies celebrated their birthday with a rainbow birthday cake made by Mrs Fraser, and fruit drinks provided by Miss A.
