FROM SCUTTLED Gf?AF SPEE. AUTHORISED BY URUGUAYAN GOVERNMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright' (Received This Day, 11.25 a.m.) MONTE VIDEO, October 19. The Uruguayan Government has authorised a private firm to raise the hull of the scuttled pocket battleship Graf Spee from the bottom of the River Plate to reclaim the ship’s steel. The Graf Spee has been gradually sinking in the mud since salvagers removed the superstructure.
