MILITARY WEDDING

HAZLEDINE—ROBINSON. St. Matthew's Church, Masterton, was beautifully decorated with bowls of rhododendron and iris on Saturday afternoon when Nora Prudence, younger daughter of Mr:: and the late Mr H. C. Robinson, o£ Masterton, was married to Lieutenant John Cowley Hazledine, N.Z.M.C., elder son of Mr P. C. Hazledine, of Invercargill. The ceremony was performed by the Ven. Archdecon E. J. Rich and Mr Miller Hope presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Mr H. W. Robinson, wore a charming classic gown of ivory slipper satin finished with heavy cording at the hem and edged with cording on the bodice. Her tulle veil was trimmed with deep cream lace and she carried a bouquet of tulips and lily of the valley.

Misses Rona Rutherford (Makuri), chief, and Joyce Hazledine (sister of the bridegroom, were bridesmaids. They wore pretty draped dresses of peony silk and carried bouquets of clematis and lily of the valley. Lieutenant Rowland Bell, N.Z.M.C., was best man, and Lieutenant Thomas Maisey, N.Z.M.C., was groomsman. Mr John Lawson, Masterton, was usher at the church. A. reception was held at the home of the bride’s mother's in Tararua Street, where Mrs Robinson received the guests. She was attired in a na-y georgette frock with hat to match and carried a bouquet of rhododendron and cyclamen. The usual toasts were honoured. At the church and at the reception the artistic decorations were the work of friends of the bride.

When Lt. and Mrs Hazeldine left on a tour north the bride travelled in a maize coloured silk frock with hat to match and a red fox fur with a posy of orchids.
