ALLIED PLANES BUSY IN EGYPT -EIGHT ENEMY MACHINES SHOT DOWN. AXIS SUPPLY SHIP SET ON FIRE. LONDON, October 14. Land operations in Egypt yesterday were confined to patrol activities. Allied planes were busy over the battle area. Eight enemy planes were shot down. An enemy supply ship off the coast was set on fire.
