SKIN DRYING PLANT destroyed.

DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT £lO,OOO.

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, October 13. Damage estimated at about £lO,OOO was caused this morning at the Westfield freezing works when a fire destroyed the skin drying plant. A good save was made by the company s volunteer fire brigade in conjunction with a number of suburban brigades. The manager of the company stated that the cause of the fire was believed to be due to a fault in the installation and that production would not be held up.
