FREE TEA
GATHERING AT Y.M.C.A.
Members and friends of the Methodist Church provided a tea free to service men at the Y.M.C.A., Masterton, last night . The Rev. H. S. Kings (representing the Y.M.C.A. and the Methodist Church) and Mrs Kings, presided. Mr Kings conducted the devotional service. The ipen’s appreciation of the tea was conveyed by Sergeant Phizacklea. Mrs N. H. Prior, accompanied by Mrs Speight, sang and Miss Reed recited. Miss Kings and Pte. J. West played the piano for the community singing. Later in the evening some interesting pictures were screened by Mr Colin Lyttle and an appreciated programme was given by the Masterton Municipal Band.
