OBITUARY
MRS E. W. DE LISLE. The death occurred at Auckland on Friday of Mrs Coral Minnie de Lisle, wife of Mr E. W. de Lisle (for many years resident of Masterton) and second daughter of Mrs M. Smith, of Bentley Street, Masterton. The late Mrs de Lisle, who was held in high esteem by a wide circle of friends in Masterton, possessed a kind and sympathetic nature which endeared her to those who knew her. Mrs de Lisle had been in ill health for some time but her death will come as a shock to her friends. Besides her husband she leaves one daughter, Mrs Neil Fisher (nee Miss Joy de Lisle) of Blenheim. MRS M. BOYD. The death occurred at Masterton early this morning of Mrs Mary Boyd, relict of Mr William Boyd. She was born in County Galway, Ireland, 86 years ago, and came to New Zealand when she was 13 years of age, settling in Christchurch with her parents. She was twice married, and arrived in Masterton about 50 years ago. All of her five sons took part in the Great War and one, Private Jack Glennan, was killed in Palestine. She is survived by four sons and three daughters. The funeral will take place on Wednesday, following Requiem Mass at St. Patrick’s Church at 9 a.m.
