Mrs Jean Bimler, who died yesterday at the age of 61 years, was the widow of the late Mi’ D. G. Bimler, for many years manager of White Rock Station, Martinborough. Soldiers' Dance. There was a record attendance at the soldiers’ dance, held on Saturday night. The music was supplied by Mrs Ashton’s Orchestra and extras were played by Miss Grace Fraser and a soldier. Mr Talbot was M.C. Special dances were won by Pvt. Fawcett and Mrs L. Clark, and Pvt. Rolfe and Miss Polly Cherry. The supper arrangements were in the hands of the Junior Patriotic Committee, which was also responsible for the decorations.

COSY THEATRE “THE BIG STORE ”

Marx Brothers, the famous comedians, are seen at their best in the brilliant comedy, “The Big Store,” which will be shown at the Cosy Theatre on Wednesday night. It is the greatest. laugh picture which Marx Bros, have yet made, and they are ably assisted by Tony Martin and Virginia Grey.
