A Berne dispatch quotes a report from Vichy that the Government has imposed a. heavy new tax to provide a premium for’ French families who undertake work in Germany.
The Vichy Secretariat of Labour has forbidden all employers in unoccupied France to dismiss or engage workers without official permission. A special division of the Douai Appeal Court sentenced to death in absentia four “Communist terrorists” and imprisoned for life a woman .innkeeper, for allegedly sheltering Communists.
