RATION BOOKS
NEW ISSUE THIS MONTH. INSTRUCTIONS TO APPLICANTS. A new issue of ration books will be available on October 19 at the Rationing Office, Room 4, first floor of the Masterton Post Office.
Applicants must produce their present ration books from which the counterfoil only qf the “O” coupons must be cut out and filled in clearly with ink in block letters with the holder’s name and address. Both Ihe “O” counterfoil and the present ration book must be presented to obtain a new ration book.
In regard to children of the age of 16 years and under, the date of birth must be shown on the counterfoil in the space provided for the retailer’s name and address on the sheet of “O” coupons.
The “O” sheet of coupons must not be cut out of the book, only the “O” counterfoil, as the “O” coupons will be required later for clothing coupons. The old books must be retained by the holder for further reference.
