ARRESTS & EXECUTIONS

More than a thousand Norwegians have been arrested since the “civil siege” was proclaimed. Nine persons executed yesterday were charged with transporting explosives to be used for acts of sabotage. The Quisling authorities claim that they were secretly storing arms for a “Dieppe raid by British commandos. . Strong Storm Trooper reinforcements have been sent from Oslo to Trondheim, where the situation apparently is graver than was assumed earlier. They are arresting conservatives as well as trade unionists.
