RED CROSS SOCIETY PAHAUTEA-KAHUTARA MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) A meeting of the Pahautea-Kahutara sub-centre of the Red Cross Society was held recently, Mrs Bid will being in the chair. Mrs Bidwill offered a room in her home for meetings. The offer was gratefully accepted. Certificates won in connection with the first aid intermediate and kitchen management examinations were presented. Lectures for home nursing are to be conducted by Mrs Pottinger, and will commence on Wednesday night. The examination in hygiene was held at Mrs Bidwill’s residence last Saturday. The lectures were given by Dr Menzies. Personal Items. Lance Corporal F. Staples is home on leave. Sergeant M. Koehler is spending leave in Palmerston North. COSY THEATRE “FROM MANGER TO CROSS.” The double programme at the Cosy Theatre tonight will be headed by the brilliant biblical picture “From Manger to Cross,” telling the life story of Jesus of Nazareth. “Our Royal Heritage” is a thrilling presentation of Britain today.
