SMOKE RISING FROM RUINS ON SATURDAY.

(British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.30 a.m.) RUGBY; September 27. Late on Saturday, smoke was still rising from the ruins of bombed buildings in Oslo, states an agency message, following on the R.A.F. raid (here on Friday evening, which sent hundreds of Quislings gathered in the city for a national rally scurrying for shelter. A flag hoisted by Norwegian patriots is still flying, too. When .the British planes appeared, Norwegians stood on the roof tops and waved. According to ji private report from Oslo they were indescribably enthusiastic and shouted: “The English have come!”
